It was so lovely to do some free work. Capturing plants together with Esther, who is also a super talented photographer. We decided to go to the Old Hortus. Witch is a unique University garden and greenhouse build in 1907. If you visit Utrecht don't forget about this little green yam.

A few weeks ago I decided that it would be nice to do a completely different shoot than what I'm used to. Something that would trigger my creativity on a new level. As I planned a trip to Marrakech I loved doing something with the Moroccan culture and style. So I asked my dear friend Bahareh if she would be up for a fine art shoot. She immediately sad yes and two weeks later we shot this amazing inspirational shoot.

Italy is such an inspirational country and we just adore i's beauty! That's why this shoot is very close to our hearts, filled with Italian en rustic details. As we live in The Netherlands the weather is always unpredictable and we do have a lot of rain, therefore we choose a indoor location. It's a fairy tail, dreamy and stunning old greenhouse, with a raspberries backdrop. It hasn't been used for years and fitted our style perfectly with amazing light and creamy floors. To give this inspirational shoot a real Italian feel, we asked model Marissa, as she is a 100% italian girl.
This shoot is all about rustic italian styling, mediterranean feel and romance. The gorgeous elegant and simple bridal dress from Rembo styling combined with the perfect hair and make-up gave Marissa a natural refined look. The table styling with olive branches, a perfect naked cake, wine, citron, candles, stationary and oil, made us literally want to site down and enjoy a glass of red wine and take us away to Italy for a couple of hours. We had some stunning bridal accessories from Sibo Design, long laces to perfection. You can create something styled and beautiful for your wedding at any location and give your friends and family a true and heart warming experience.

The first of Januari 2015, me and my hubby decided to just jump in the car and drive to Paris. This gorgeous city stole my heart. We cycled trough little streets, saw all the big attractions and enjoyed little restaurants where we could stay forever. Some city's are just that special that you have the feeling you could live their. And Paris is definitely one of them. The friendly people, gorgeous buildings, city vibe and beautiful parks. Two days of cycling and simply enjoying each others company. Will be visiting you again Paris.

Het maken van heerlijke analoge plaatjes, meet Lisanne! Nu het winter is geniet ik des te meer van dit soort fijne shoots. Samen op pad om mooie portretten te maken. Ondanks dat het stiekem behoorlijk koud is staat Lisanne in haar korte mouwen, alles voor het perfecte plaatje. Als newly wed leek het Lisanne leuk om haar hubby te verrassen met deze mooie portret shoot. Klassieke zwart wit beelden gecombineerd met kleur. Wat is film toch fijn!

The past three weeks I enjoyed a lovely holiday in Cuba. It is an amazing country with beautiful cities and such friendly people! While I was leying on my beach bed at Maria La Gorda, I saw Candice walking on the beach, I immediately thought what if I could photograph her? She looks amazing! And before I know it, I'm walking towards her and asked her if she would be interested in a photo shoot. She is so excited about it and loves to de a shoot, after talking a bit we are all ready to start the shoot. It was so much fun! Thanks Candice Xx.

Even though I’ve been to Italy a few times already, this was by far the most memorable experience of them all. The wondrous country with its striking architecture, delicious wine, and friendly locals makes it hard not to fall in love with the South European gem, over and over again. Walking along the cobblestone streets you are soon overtaken by the beauty of historic buildings, rich culture and true Italian flair, and when stepping outside the ancient city streets and into the the green countryside, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves, it is clear why Italy is such a popular travel destination.
We embraced the authentic Italian style and decided to explore the country in a cute little Fiat 500, and what a blast we had! We made use of Air B&B and stayed with a wonderful family in Florence, which were so helpful in planning our day trips. In gorgeous Valdirose just a few minutes drive away, I met up with talented photographer, Nadia Meli, for a glass of wine and good chat. It was great to share some stories with a fellow traveler and industry acquaintance in a such a beautiful spot.
In the famous Chianti wine area we stayed in Hotel Radda and enjoyed a fantastic wine tasting at Castellp D’albola winery. We also visited the picturesque Monteriggioni comune, famous for its Renaissance influenced architecture and enclosed walls. One of the highlights of our trip was staying with an old lady on their family farm. She treated us to a true al fresco dinner with the Tuscan sunset setting the mood for a delightful evening. This gave us a glimpse into the real Italian lifestyle.
Even though it might sound like we visited Italy just for leisure, the main reason for our stay was to photograph a gorgeous wedding in Montecatini Therme. This is indeed a luxurious town, centred around its natural spa, perfect for a relaxing wedding weekend. It was such a pleasure to capture the charming couple and their loved ones against the breathtaking Italian landscapes, and it certainly didn’t feel like work.
